# Recording Data with Checklist Fields 🛠️

## Adding Fields to a Checklist <a href="#adding-fields-to-a-checklist" id="adding-fields-to-a-checklist"></a>

* Open the checklist you wish to edit
* Click `Edit`
* Next to the step you wish to record data for, click `Add Field`
* Select the field type
  * The field can be text, a number or a date
* If the checklist field MUST be recorded, enable the `Required?` checkbox

## Reviewing Checklist Data <a href="#reviewing-checklist-data" id="reviewing-checklist-data"></a>

In checklist run history, you can see recorded data for a given checklist run.

The checklist run will show data as it was originally recorded, even if the checklist is later modified

## Deleting a Checklist Field <a href="#deleting-a-checklist-field" id="deleting-a-checklist-field"></a>

* Open the checklist you wish to edit
* Click `Edit`
* Next to the step you wish to remove the field for, click the `X` icon

Previously-recorded data for this checklist will not be deleted.
