🌟Getting Started🌟

Start here if you're new to TerseFlow

Creating Your First Checklist

1. Creating a Personal Checklist

You can create checklists for your own use. Click on My Checklists in the left sidebar, and then click the New Checklist button

2. Name the Checklist

Give your checklist (e.g. "My First Checklist") and click Create

3. Getting Used to the UI

This is what the "New Checklist" screen looks like, and also what it looks like when you edit a checklist. Here's what each numbered section does:

  1. You can change the checklist name here

  2. These buttons are your actions

    1. Start will let you run a checklist - but will only be available once you have one or more steps

    2. Runs lets you see the history of the checklist and see how many times it's been run

    3. Finish will stop editing the checklist

    4. Delete will delete this checklist (and its history)

All changes - such as adding/deleting/reordering steps, or renaming the checklist, are saved automatically

4. Add Your First Step

To add your first step, type in something (e.g. "My first step") and click Add

5. Add Some More Steps

Repeat Step 4 a few more times to add some more steps

6. Re-order Steps

To change the order of steps, click and hold the mouse on a step, then drag it to change the order.

7. Deleting a Step

To delete a step, click Delete next to the step

8. Finish Editing

When you're done editing, click Finish.

🌟 Congratulations, you've created your first checklist! 🌟

Completing Your First Run

To actually use the Checklist, and go step-by-step, you should "run" it

1. Start Your New Checklist

Open your Checklist you just created, and click the Start

2. The Run UI

When you start a new run, the run is named by the date and time you start it. All the steps are created in an "unmarked" state, ready for you to check them off one by one.

3. Run the Checklist

Go through your checklist and mark off each step. In a real checklist, each step would be an instruction to follow or detail to confirm before you mark off the step.

4. Complete the Run

Once you've marked off all steps and completed the checklist, go back to the top and click Complete Run

5. You've Just Completed Your First Checklist

You've completed a run of your first checklist. Now, you can do it all again when you need to repeat the steps of this checklist

Congratulations!

You've managed to create your first checklist, and take it for a spin. You're now ready to use the rest of TerseFlow.
